Perplexity reportedly secures $500m in funding
AI-powered search engine Perplexity has reportedly secured US$500 million in a funding round, bringing its valuation to US$9 billion.
This funding round was led by Institutional Venture Partners and concluded earlier this month.
In a move to strengthen its offerings, Perplexity announced its acquisition of Carbon, a startup that connects AI systems to external data sources.
A spokesperson for Perplexity declined to comment on the funding round.
