Perplexity acquires Sequoia-backed Visual Electric
Perplexity has acquired Visual Electric, an AI design startup backed by Sequoia, for an undisclosed amount.
Visual Electric, founded in 2022 by former employees from Facebook, Dropbox, Apple, and Microsoft, developed an AI tool for designers to create and edit images.
The Visual Electric team will join Perplexity’s new Agent Experiences group.
Visual Electric plans to shut down its product within 90 days, offering users the ability to export their data and providing prorated refunds to subscribers.
