Peak XV backs AI insurance startup Rosella’s US push
Rosella, an AI-native commercial insurance brokerage serving US small and mid-market firms, has raised A$3.7 million (US$2.54 million) in a pre-seed round led by Peak XV Partners and Intact Private Capital.
The startup is building software to automate brokerage tasks such as submitting client details across more than 100 insurer portals and generating certificates of insurance faster.
Its tools compare policy documents, flag potential coverage gaps, and provide prompts to brokers during client calls.
The company is targeting a US commercial insurance brokerage market it puts at US$215 billion, where many workflows still rely on manual processes across fragmented systems.
