PayPal has upgraded its Honey browser extension with AI-powered shopping recommendations, prices, and deals.

The new feature integrates with chatbots to show links, real-time prices, retailers, and promotions during shopping conversations.

PayPal said Honey can also add major retailers if chatbot suggestions leave them out.

The update is first available on OpenAI’s ChatGPT, with plans to expand to more chatbots.

The move comes as PayPal faces AI shopping competition, following its Google partnership, and as Honey recovers from lawsuits and negative publicity.
