PayPal Ventures backs payments platform Klearly in $14m series A
Klearly, an Amsterdam-based payments platform for restaurants, bars, and clubs, has raised €12 million (US$14 million) in a series A round led by PayPal Ventures.
The company integrates its system with existing point-of-sale (POS) hardware to support high-volume service in the hospitality sector.
Other investors in the round include Italian Founders Fund, Global PayTech Ventures, Antler Elevate, and Shapers.
Klearly’s total funding now stands at €20 million (US$23.3 million).
Funds from the round will be used to boost go-to-market efforts in Italy, grow its partner network, and invest in product development and team expansion.
