Payoneer adds ex-software firm CEO as new board director
Payoneer, an Israeli fintech company valued at US$3.5 billion on Wall Street, has appointed Barak Eilam as a director.
Eilam previously served as CEO of the software firm Nice until the end of 2024, where he worked since 1999.
At Nice, Eilam led significant changes, including the spinoff of its security operations and a shift towards a cloud business. This focus contributed to US$2 billion of the company’s US$2.7 billion revenue in 2024.
Nice also reported 15% revenue growth last year.
Under CEO John Caplan, Payoneer is addressing challenges from the 2021 tech bubble.
The company’s stock has risen 80% over the past year due to improved performance in small-business payment and transaction processing.
Payoneer expects to report annual revenue approaching US$1 billion when it announces its earnings on Feb. 27.
