Patsnap files confidentially for dual IPOs
Patsnap, a Singapore-based intellectual property data provider, has confidentially filed for IPOs in Hong Kong and Singapore, according to people familiar with the matter. A listing could come as soon as this year.
The company could target a valuation above US$2 billion.
In January, people familiar with the matter said Patsnap was considering raising US$300 million to US$400 million.
Its last disclosed funding round was a US$300 million raise in 2021 from investors led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Tencent Investment.
Management said then its valuation had crossed US$1 billion.
Founded in 2007, Patsnap sells software for corporate research and development and intellectual property teams to search patent data and analyze research, competitors, and potential partners.
It said in 2021 that it had more than 10,000 customers in over 50 countries and about 700 employees.
A Patsnap listing would add to Hong Kong’s pipeline, which had more than 350 listing applicants as of January.
It would also add to Singapore’s market, where IPOs have raised US$912 million so far this year, compared with US$4.5 million in the same period in 2025.
