Palantir Q2 revenue jumps 93%, lifts full-year outlook
Palantir, a US data analytics software company, said on August 3 that second-quarter revenue rose 93% year on year to US$1.935 billion, beating the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) estimate of US$1.8 billion as sales to US government and commercial customers increased.
US revenue, which made up more than 80% of total sales, rose 115% to US$1.573 billion.
That included a 90% rise in revenue from US government customers to US$809 million and a 149% increase in revenue from US commercial customers to US$764 million.
Adjusted earnings per share came in at 41 US cents, ahead of estimates of 35 cents.
The company raised its full-year revenue forecast to US$8.15 billion to US$8.158 billion, from US$7.65 billion to US$7.66 billion.
Palantir shares rose more than 10% in after-hours trading after closing up 2.1%.
