Palantir expands UK defense deal, investment plans
Palantir Technologies plans to invest £1.5 billion (US$1.95 billion) in the UK by 2030 and is close to securing a £750 million (US$975 million), five-year contract with the UK Ministry of Defence, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Palantir, a US-based software firm known for its AI and data analytics platforms, is set to replace an expiring £75 million (US$97.5 million), three-year agreement with this new deal.
The investment is expected to support 350 jobs, with 200 at Palantir and the rest through related employers.
The broader investment aims to expand Palantir’s work in UK sectors such as health, policing, and defense.
