Oyo appoints CEO for its US acquisition
Oyo has appointed Sonal Sinha as the CEO of G6 Hospitality, which operates the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands in the US.
This follows Oyo’s US$525 million acquisition of G6 Hospitality from Blackstone Real Estate last year.
Sinha, who has been with Oyo since 2015, previously served as country head for the US and chief operation officer at Oyo International. He will continue reporting to Gautam Swaroom, CEO of Oyo International.
Oyo plans to invest US$10 million to enhance G6 Hospitality’s digital assets.
The company expects G6 Hospitality to contribute an EBITDA of 630 crore rupee (US$72.26 million) in the next financial year.
This could raise Oyo’s overall EBITDA to over 2,000 crore rupee (US$229.38 million) by FY26, according to a PTI report.
