Oracle reportedly in talks with Meta for $20b AI cloud deal

Oracle is in talks with Meta for a cloud computing deal valued at about US$20 billion, according to a source familiar with the matter.

The agreement would see Oracle provide Meta with computing capacity for training and deploying AI models, alongside Meta’s existing cloud providers.

This potential deal follows a recent report that OpenAI agreed to purchase US$300 billion in computing power from Oracle over roughly five years.

Oracle has existing partnerships with Amazon, Alphabet, and Microsoft.

The company recently announced four multi-billion-dollar contracts as demand for AI computing power rises across the industry.

Meta declined to comment, while Oracle did not immediately respond.
