Oracle plans to invest in Indonesia, according to a social media post by Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani after a meeting with Oracle executives on September 18.

Details about the size and type of investment were not disclosed.

Roeslani said the discussion focused on using AI to strengthen data sovereignty, boost efficiency in public and private sectors, create tech jobs, and speed up Indonesia’s digital transformation.

Oracle, headquartered in Austin, Texas, specializes in database software, cloud services, and AI solutions.

The company was founded in 1977 and serves millions of customers in over 170 countries.

Oracle’s recent financial report highlighted new large multinational contracts, including a deal with OpenAI to build a 4.5-gigawatt data center in the US.
