Thai consumers have voiced concerns about Fineasy, a pre-installed app on Oppo and Realme devices, for allegedly accessing personal data without consent.

The Thailand Consumers Council claims this violates consumer rights and poses risks of financial abuse and scams, urging regulatory intervention from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission and the Bank of Thailand.

Oppo and Realme have apologized, confirming the removal of the app’s loan feature and pledging to cease pre-installing such applications.

Users can visit service centers for immediate app removal, with future updates enabling independent uninstallation.
