Oppo and Alipay have expanded their AI collaboration so users can access nearly 200 Alipay services through Oppo’s Xiaobu assistant with a single voice command.

After user authorisation, Xiaobu passes requests to Alipay’s AI assistant Abao for tasks including movie ticket booking, phone top-ups, utility payments, visa processing, childcare subsidy applications, and household registration transfers.

Oppo handles on-device intent recognition, while Alipay handles service execution and payment risk controls.

The move builds on an October 2025 partnership between Oppo and Ant Group, the China-based fintech affiliate of Alibaba.

The partnership covers AI agents, Alipay Tap, healthcare services, and voice access to functions such as retrieving transit quick-response (QR) codes.

Abao was unveiled in June 2026 in invitation-only testing as Alipay’s conversational interface for bill payments, bookings, housing fund checks, and government benefit services.

Alipay said Abao could connect to tens of thousands of service scenarios.
