Opera-backed MiniPay adopts Sumsub reusable KYC
Identity verification firm Sumsub launched its Reusable know-your-customer (KYC) Gateway at Token2049 Singapore on October 7, with stablecoin wallet MiniPay as the first live integrator.
MiniPay, a self-custodial stablecoin wallet backed by Opera, uses the product to reduce repeated identity checks across partner services.
Sumsub said MiniPay operates in more than 70 countries and has had over 20 million wallets opened.
Under the system, users can reuse verified identity data across regulated partners, while those partners still run their own compliance checks.
Higher-risk transactions may require extra checks.
Sumsub said MiniPay does not collect, store, or handle identity documents or biometric data under the system.
Users must explicitly consent to link their verified identity to MiniPay and to share it with each partner.
Sumsub said verification conversion for MiniPay partners rose from about 70% to 95%, while KYC completion time fell by up to 50%.
The company also markets reusable KYC for onboarding and compliance.
