The OpenClaw Foundation, a group focused on open AI-agent infrastructure, said on September 30 that it had introduced OpenClaw Enterprise, an open-source platform for managing persistent AI agents in sensitive settings. It aims to address security, safety, and governance concerns around enterprise adoption.

The software adds multi-tenancy, audit trails, and permission controls. Users can self-host it by cloning its GitHub repo, using Docker Compose for local development, or deploying it internally on Kubernetes.

OpenClaw said the project began at OpenAI, was later donated to the foundation, and has since been developed with Red Hat and Nvidia.

The foundation said the software was meant for internal pilot workloads ahead of a 1.0 release later this year. Red Hat and OpenAI were piloting it internally.

The launch comes as enterprise buyers have prioritized AI agent security. At the same time, Red Hat has been positioning its AI portfolio around agentic AI and running AI workloads on OpenShift, though its public materials do not show that OpenClaw is integrated with that stack.
