OpenAI unveils ChatGPT Gov for US gov’t agencies
OpenAI, backed by Microsoft, has launched ChatGPT Gov, an AI chatbot tailored for US gov’t agencies, as announced in a blog post on Jan. 28.
The tool will enable government entities to implement ChatGPT Gov within their Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
ChatGPT Gov will have features similar to ChatGPT Enterprise, including the ability to create custom GPTs.
This launch follows OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s recent announcement on X about speeding up product releases.
The news comes on the heels of Chinese AI startup DeepSeek surpassing ChatGPT in downloads on Apple’s App Store.
