OpenAI and the UK Government have announced a partnership to promote the adoption of AI in the UK.

This collaboration supports the UK’s AI Opportunities Action Plan, aiming to boost economic and societal benefits through AI integration.

The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and UK Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology Peter Kyle.

It outlines collaboration in deploying AI models across sectors, infrastructure development, and technical information exchange.

UK Government is already using OpenAI’s tools, including an AI chatbot for small businesses and systems like ‘Humphrey’ and ‘Consult’ to support administrative and policy-making tasks.
