Guardian Media Group (GMG) of the United Kingdom has partnered with OpenAI to integrate its journalism into ChatGPT.

This collaboration will make Guardian reporting – including archive content – available to ChatGPT users, with proper attribution for summaries and article extracts.

The agreement includes the implementation of ChatGPT Enterprise to create new tools and features.

This decision reflects GMG’s policy of utilizing genAI under human supervision while ensuring fair compensation and attribution for its content.

Brad Lightcap, OpenAI’s COO, said the collaboration will enhance the ChatGPT platform with real-time news content.

Most of the Guardian Media Group’s digital traffic comes from outside the UK.
