Sophos, a UK-based cybersecurity company, said on Aug. 10 that it was partnering with OpenAI to bring OpenAI’s frontier AI models to managed service providers (MSPs) through Sophos Fusion.

Sophos described Fusion as an AI-native cybersecurity defense system that partners can use to build security services.

The partnership will expand Fusion across endpoint, network, email, cloud, identity, and security operations, Sophos said.

Sophos also said Sophos AI Defense will be available for early access in August 2026.

The deal builds on an existing relationship under OpenAI’s Daybreak Cyber Partner Program, which Sophos said it joined in June 2026.

Daybreak is designed to embed frontier AI models into security workflows, and OpenAI has framed it as a controlled cybersecurity offering rather than a broadly available public tool.

In a separate partner description, OpenAI is working with selected security vendors on product integrations, managed services, and partner-delivered defensive capabilities.
