OpenAI raises $6.6b, increases valuation to $157b

OpenAI has secured US$6.6 billion and raised its post-money valuation to US$157 billion, the company behind ChatGPT announced Wednesday.

The company said it would use the funds “to double down on our leadership in frontier AI research, increase compute capacity, and continue building tools.”

OpenAI claims over 250 million ChatGPT users.
