OpenAI is increasing hiring in India as it targets local startups and enterprises, according to job postings on LinkedIn.

The US-based AI company is adding go-to-market, solutions architect, and account director roles across Bengaluru, New Delhi, and Mumbai.

Executives from OpenAI have also visited India to meet with startups, with more leadership visits expected in November.

India is OpenAI’s second-largest market, and the company is focusing on building partnerships with Indian startups and developers.

Anthropic, another US AI firm, is also recruiting in India, including a strategic alliance lead, and plans to open an office in Bengaluru.

Industry experts say global AI firms are adapting their strategies for India, viewing the market as distinct in data consumption and innovation needs.
