OpenAI plans to open its first office in Washington, DC, in early 2026.

This will be the company’s first dedicated space in the US capital, where it currently employs about 30 people.

The AI firm has operated from a co-working space in the city for the past year.

The new office will feature “The Workshop,” a facility for nonprofit leaders, policymakers, and educators to test and preview OpenAI’s technologies.
