OpenAI, Meta, Uber execs set to attend Trump’s inauguration

Several tech executives – including OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman, Greg Brockman, and Kevin Weil – plan to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, as the tech sector navigates its relationship with the incoming administration.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is also expected, although Meta has not issued a public comment.

Meanwhile, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi will participate in related events, with the company co-hosting an inauguration party with Elon Musk’s X and The Free Press.

These developments occur amid potential shifts in the tech sector under Trump’s second term, with the relationship between Silicon Valley and the former president historically marked by friction over issues like immigration and online content moderation.
