OpenAI has launched Prism, a free AI-powered workspace designed for scientific writing and collaboration, built on GPT-5.2.

The platform aims to streamline research workflows by integrating drafting, revising, and collaborating within a single cloud-based LaTeX environment.

Researchers can use Prism to explore ideas, generate and refine equations, incorporate literature, and collaborate with unlimited co-authors in real time.

The tool is accessible to anyone with a ChatGPT account and will soon be available to organizations using ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, and Education plans.

Prism builds on OpenAI’s previous LaTeX platform, Crixet, and seeks to reduce fragmentation in research processes.

The platform is now available for free at prism.openai.com.
