OpenAI launches free tool to help businesses build AI agents

OpenAI has unveiled the Responses API, a tool designed to assist developers in building advanced AI agents capable of performing complex tasks autonomously.

This new API is set to replace the current Assistants API, which will be discontinued in the second half of 2026.

The Responses API is available at no additional cost.

This development occurs as competition in the AI sector intensifies, with various startups, including those from China, launching their AI models.
