American media company Hearst announced Tuesday that it has formed a partnership with OpenAI to integrate its journalistic content into OpenAI’s products, particularly ChatGPT.

This collaboration involves Hearst’s more than 20 magazines and 40 newspapers.

“As generative AI matures, it’s critical that journalism created by professional journalists be at the heart of all AI products,” said Jeff Johnson, president of Hearst Newspapers.

ChatGPT will include citations and links to the original Hearst sources.
