CEO Sam Altman said on Feb.13 that the company will integrate the o-series with the GPT-series models to streamline its offerings.

In a post on X, Altman indicated that the upcoming GPT-5 model will consolidate “o3” and other technologies into a single AI system.

No release timeline was provided. OpenAI first introduced the “o3” and “o3 mini” models in December 2024.
