OpenAI co-founder takes CEO role at Safe Superintelligence
OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever has been appointed CEO of Safe Superintelligence, an AI startup he co-founded last year.
This announcement comes after Daniel Gross, the former CEO, left the company on June 29.
Gross reportedly joined Meta as part of its effort to recruit AI talent.
Daniel Levy, another co-founder, will now serve as president of Safe Superintelligence.
The technical team will report directly to Sutskever, according to his post on X.
During its recruitment efforts, Meta reportedly sought to acquire Safe Superintelligence, but Sutskever declined the offer.
