OpenAI plans new board without seats for investors, including Microsoft
OpenAI, which owns ChatGPT and is backed by Microsoft, isn’t planning to offer board seats to its investors – including the Bill Gates-founded firm, source told Reuters.
This follows a recent shakeup where OpenAI temporarily ousted CEO Sam Altman, who was then brought back to the same role with the promise of a new board.
The new board is expected to include Bret Taylor, Larry Summers, and Adam D’Angelo. D’Angelo was part of the old OpenAI board that dismissed Altman.
