Salesforce said a YouGov survey of more than 1,500 desk workers in 14 markets found that only 6% of respondents in Singapore used AI as a core part of their daily work, below the 11% global average. Meanwhile, 29% identified as AI sceptics, compared with 37% globally.

Among Singapore desk workers who said AI pilots at work had failed, 40% cited generic outputs, 38% said they did not trust the responses, and 30% said the tools lacked business context.

The online survey was conducted between December 2025 to January 2026.

It covered desk workers whose jobs were mainly mental rather than manual or task-based and who had at least minimal familiarity with AI.

Deloitte previously found that 67% of employees in Singapore had used generative AI, though that measure was not limited to daily workplace use. Deloitte also found that 47% said their business was taking full advantage of generative AI.

Singapore has announced AI workforce and governance measures under its National AI Strategy 2.0, including an expanded SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace 2.0 with generative AI content and a playbook for enterprises.
