Edge Tutor International, an online tutoring outsourcing company, has completed a US$1 million pre-series A funding round.

This round follows an US$800,000 seed round in 2023 and was led by Seaborne Capital, M Venture Partners, Kaya Founders, and Orvel Ventures.

The company operates in New York, London, Singapore, and Manila.

It offers a B2B model that supplies education companies worldwide with skilled Filipino tutors for live, managed instruction.

Edge Tutor plans to use the newly acquired funds to expand into North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.

The company aims to increase its tutor workforce from 1,000 to 5,000 by 2026.
