Zomato-parent Eternal approves $25.24m ESOP grant
Eternal, the parent company of Zomato and Blinkit, has approved employee stock options (ESOPs) valued at 224 crore rupee (US$25.24 million) across multiple ESOP plans.
The Nomination and Remuneration Committee granted 6,413,217 stock options under the ESOP 2014, ESOP 2021, and ESOP 2024 plans, according to exchange filings.
The options were priced at Re 1 per share and are valued based on the NSE opening price of 326.2 rupee (US$3.93).
Grant terms allow options under ESOP 2014 and 2021 to be exercised within 10 years of vesting or 12 years from listing, whichever is later, while ESOP 2024 options can be exercised within 10 years of vesting.
In April and July 2025, Eternal also granted stock options valued at around 4.4 crore rupee (US$530,000) and 168 crore rupee (US$20.24 million), respectively.
This announcement follows recent regulatory changes, including a new GST ruling that applies an 18% tax to delivery fees charged by platforms such as Zomato and Swiggy.
