🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ The evolution of AI assistants from simple responders to autonomous agents
Kruti represents a new phase in the decades-long evolution of AI assistants, moving from simple response systems to task-executing agents.
The journey began with IBM’s Shoebox in the 1960s, which could only recognize 16 words and digits, followed by text-based chatbots like ELIZA (1966) that simulated conversation without true understanding1.
The introduction of Siri in 2011 and Alexa in 2014 marked crucial transitions to mainstream voice assistants, but they still primarily answered questions rather than executing complex tasks independently2.
This shift toward agentic AI that can autonomously book cabs or order food reflects the industry’s progression from query-response models to systems that can interpret intent, maintain context, and execute multi-step processes.
2️⃣ Multilingual capabilities are becoming essential for AI adoption in India
Kruti’s support for 13 Indian languages highlights a critical factor for AI success in India’s linguistically diverse market.
Case studies show tangible business benefits from multilingual AI implementation—Max Life Insurance saw a 5x ROI increase after integrating multilingual capabilities into their customer service chatbots3.
Similarly, Mahindra Tractors developed multilingual assistants specifically to support India’s diverse rural customers, recognizing that language accessibility directly impacts adoption rates and customer satisfaction3.
