OKX, ICE form venture linking crypto and Wall Street
Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is leading a joint venture between OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the US-based owner of the New York Stock Exchange, to build infrastructure linking traditional and digital-asset markets, according to a June 22 statement.
Subject to regulatory approvals, the venture is expected to operate as a registered broker-dealer and futures commission merchant.
It aims to give OKX’s more than 120 million users access to ICE futures and a planned NYSE tokenized-securities market, while exploring other blockchain-based market opportunities.
The move builds on a March tie-up in which ICE took a minority stake in OKX at a $25 billion valuation and outlined collaboration on market structure, clearing, risk management, data, and institutional access to digital assets.
NYSE separately said in January that it was developing a platform for trading and on-chain settlement of tokenized securities and would seek regulatory approvals.
The push also follows a 2025 US Department of Justice resolution involving an OKX affiliate’s past US operations, which involved about $505 million in penalties and forfeitures.
