Nvidia-backed Cursor launches new automated coding tool
Cursor on March 5 introduced a new tool designed to manage the chaos of multiple coding agents.
Named Automations, the system allows users to automatically trigger agents within their coding environment—whether by a new code update, a Slack message, or a timer.
According to Cursor, it helps review and maintain all code generated by agentic tools without having to track dozens of agents simultaneously.
At its core, Automations let engineers move beyond the usual “prompt-and-monitor” workflow of agent-based development.
Instead of manually launching agents, Cursor’s framework can trigger them automatically, bringing humans into the loop only when necessary.
