Nvidia, xAI join Microsoft in AI infrastructure partnership
Elon Musk’s xAI and Nvidia have joined the AI Infrastructure Partnership to advance AI infrastructure, the group announced on Mar. 19.
The initiative, originally launched in September 2024 as the Global AI Infrastructure Investment Partnership, seeks an initial US$30 billion in funding, with potential investments reaching US$100 billion through debt financing.
Backed by BlackRock, Microsoft, and Abu Dhabi-based MGX, the partnership aims to meet the rising demand for computational power driven by deep learning and large-scale data processing.
It focuses on developing specialized data centers equipped with advanced chip clusters.
