Nvidia works with Apollo, Blackstone on $500b AI effort
Nvidia is working with Apollo Global Management, a US alternative asset manager; Blackstone, a US investment firm; Brookfield Asset Management, a Canadian asset manager; Goldman Sachs; KKR, a US investment firm; and BlackRock’s Global Infrastructure Partners unit on a US$500 billion AI infrastructure financing effort, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Nvidia newsroom pages from 2025 and 2026 also listed a press item describing a financing platform with the same group to mobilize more than US$500 billion, although the materials did not explain its structure.
The effort could help Nvidia’s biggest customers finance high-end graphics processing units, data centers, and long-term electricity capacity.
The talks also point to a broader shift toward private market funding. Goldman Sachs Research said private market funding will become more important as hyperscalers spend more than US$5 trillion on technology and data centers by 2030.
