Nvidia is reportedly in early talks to increase its investment in Reflection AI, or acquire the startup.

Options include a full takeover or an acqui-hire, where Nvidia would hire Reflection staff and license its technology. The talks could still fall apart.

Reflection AI, a US-based startup founded in 2024 by former DeepMind researchers, develops AI tools for software development. The company recently launched Beam, its first open-weight model, for coding and agent tasks.

The startup raised US$2 billion in October 2025 in a Nvidia-backed round that valued it at US$8 billion. Chief executive Misha Laskin said in April that Reflection was raising fresh capital at a pre-money valuation of US$25 billion.

Cursor raised funds at a US$29.3 billion valuation in November 2025. OpenAI’s proposed US$3 billion acquisition of Windsurf was not completed.

Nvidia’s acquisition of Run:ai was approved in the European Union before it closed in December 2024, after a regulatory review.
