Nvidia has told Chinese customers it is facing limited supplies of its H20 chips.

The H20 is the most advanced AI chip allowed for sale to China under US export controls.

The US banned H20 sales in April, forcing Nvidia to cancel orders and halt production at TSMC. TSMC then redirected its production lines to other clients.

Restarting H20 production may take up to nine months, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said during a recent event in Beijing.
