Nvidia unveils Jetson Orin Nano 2 for edge AI

Nvidia said it had announced Jetson Orin Nano 2 on August 26, an entry-level edge AI computer for robots, delivery and inspection drones, and vision AI systems.

The module and developer kit are scheduled to be available in the first half of 2027.

Nvidia said Jetson Orin Nano 2 delivers nearly 2x the inference performance of Jetson Orin Nano Super in the same compact form factor, while using 40% less power at equivalent performance.

The company said the system supports language and vision models through its open AI software stack and Jetson Agent Skills.

Nvidia said Cognex, Doosan Bobcat, and Matic Robotics are among the first customers to adopt Jetson Orin Nano 2.

Advantech, AAEON, ADLink, Seeed Studio, and Antmicro are developing supporting hardware and reference solutions.

The company also said more than 3 million developers have built on its robotics stack.
