Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said at CES 2025 in Las Vegas that the company’s AI chips are progressing faster than what Moore’s Law predicts.

Moore’s Law, which predicted a doubling of  transistors on computers and performance every two years, has slowed in recent years.

However, Huang claims Nvidia AI’S chip performance exceeds this benchmark, with a new superchip showing 30 to 40 times faster AI inference performance.

Huang attributed Nvidia’s rapid developments to continuous innovation in architecture, chips, and algorithms and dismissed concerns about AI progress slowing, focusing on AI scaling laws in different phases.

During his keynote, Huang showcased Nvidia’s newest data center superchip, the GB200 NVL72, which could reduce AI model costs, including OpenAI’s o3.
