Nvidia stock drops on Nasdaq slump, China risks
Nvidia’s stock has faced significant pressure, contributing over 30% of the Nasdaq’s decline this year. It fell below its 200-day moving average in January for the first time in more than two years.
Analysts have identified key support levels at US$113, US$110, and potentially as low as US$90, with some projecting a downside target between US$107 and US$103.
The stock’s valuation decline has brought its forward earnings multiple to 25, the lowest in over a year.
Market uncertainty has impacted major tech stocks, including Nvidia, with the Nasdaq 100 nearing correction territory. Tariffs and AI-related export restrictions, particularly tied to Nvidia’s exposure to China, have added pressure.
Despite its focus on AI, decreasing momentum and investor caution raise concerns.
Some experts suggest the stock may have already reached a long-term peak.
