Nvidia rival Cerebras seeks $1b at $22b valuation

Cerebras Systems, a US-based AI chipmaker, is in talks to raise about US$1 billion at a US$22 billion valuation, according to a source familiar with the matter.

The potential raise marks a sharp rise from Cerebras’ US$8.1 billion valuation in September, according to the source.

Cerebras’s business ties with Abu Dhabi AI firm G42 have led to a review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the US.

Cerebras is still planning an IPO, the source said.
