Nvidia recruits for humanoid robotics roles in China

Nvidia is recruiting for more than a dozen robotics roles across Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, according to a WeChat post on June 29.

The openings cover embodied intelligence, simulation, implementation, and solutions.

The roles include work in dexterous manipulation, whole-body control, robot learning, and AI system optimization for humanoid robots.

The job descriptions reference Project GR00T, which Nvidia described as a humanoid robot foundation model, and Cosmos, a physical simulation world model, alongside the company’s graphics processing unit-accelerated computing platforms.

The hiring push comes as China accounted for 54% of global industrial robot deployments in 2024, according to the International Federation of Robotics.

Nvidia also selected Chinese robot maker Unitree for a humanoid research platform built with Jetson Thor, Isaac GR00T, and Nvidia simulation tools.
