Nvidia says OpenAI deal won’t affect other customers

Nvidia moved to reassure clients that its landmark US$100 billion partnership with OpenAI to expand AI infrastructure will not affect its relationships with other customers.

In a statement late on September 22, 2025, the company said: “Our investments will not change our focus or impact supply to other customers. We will continue to make every customer a top priority, with or without any equity stake.”

Nvidia and OpenAI have signed a letter of intent to pursue a US$100 billion deal to build data centers powered by Nvidia technology.

The company, led by CEO Jensen Huang, relies on major tech firms such as Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, and Alphabet for much of its revenue.

These companies are competing to expand their own AI infrastructure, and are also deploying or developing their own components to reduce reliance on Nvidia.
