Nvidia joins AI cloud startup GMI Cloud’s $668m round
GMI Cloud, an AI cloud infrastructure provider founded in 2021, said on October 1 that it raised US$668 million in funding led by ARCHIV.
The round included participation from Nvidia, DSC Investment, Trend Micro, KB Investment, KYOBO Life Insurance, KT Corporation, and others.
The company said the funding will help bring more computing capacity online in more parts of the world.
GMI Cloud, which describes itself as an AI cloud for compute, inference, and agents, said contracted annual recurring revenue had reached more than 9x its level at the end of 2025. It also said its platform now processes around 4 trillion tokens a week.
The round follows a US$82 million series A announced in October 2024.
NVIDIA’s participation fits its broader AI infrastructure push, including work with CoreWeave to expand AI cloud capacity.
The deal comes as specialist graphics processing unit cloud providers such as CoreWeave compete for AI workloads in the growing neocloud market.
