Nvidia to invest $3b in Meta as AI partnership expands

Nvidia and Meta said on October 27 that they are expanding their AI partnership to improve training and inference for Meta’s Muse AI models and agents.

Nvidia will also invest US$3 billion in Meta’s equity offering.

Meta said it plans to deploy more Nvidia infrastructure for its next-generation AI agents, including Vera Rubin systems and Vera central processing units (CPUs).

It also plans to use Spectrum-X Ethernet and BlueField-4 networking products.

The companies also said they may work together on Nvidia’s OpenShell reference architecture, including OpenShell for safe deployment and Sentry for monitoring agent behavior.

Meta earlier announced an offering of depositary shares representing series A mandatory convertible preferred stock and an offering of Class A common stock tied to forward sale agreements.
