Nvidia forecasts $108b revenue, shares fall 1%

Nvidia forecast current-quarter revenue of US$108 billion, plus or minus 2%, above the analyst average of US$105.2 billion, but below some estimates of more than US$110 billion.

Its shares fell about 1% in late trading after the report.

For the quarter ended July 26, Nvidia reported revenue of US$96.2 billion and adjusted profit of US$2.22 a share, beating estimates of US$92.5 billion and US$2.09.

Revenue from its data center division, which sells chips for AI computing, reached US$89 billion, compared with forecasts of US$85.8 billion.

Nvidia said gross margin for the current quarter would be about 74%.

Nvidia also said Vera Rubin, its newest chip line, was now in full production. Separately, Blackwell contributed US$11 billion in sales.

China remained a restricted market as US export controls and Beijing’s tight control over purchases curbed Nvidia’s sales there.
