Nvidia fast-tracks Samsung’s advanced AI chip certification
Nvidia is fast-tracking the certification of Samsung’s AI memory chips, according to its CEO Jensen Huang.
In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Huang said Nvidia is assessing both 8-high and 12-high HBM3E chips from Samsung, which are designed to enhance AI processing capabilities.
In late October, Samsung announced its progress in supplying these advanced memory chips to Nvidia. During a recent post-earnings call, Huang did not explicitly mention Samsung among major partners.
Huang’s comments on Samsung were made at an event at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The certification process is part of Nvidia’s strategy to optimize its AI products.
